Where: Caves Inn Roman settlement around SP534794 on Watling Street.
Name Origin: Latin for ‘(place of the) three bridges’.
Notes: The Roman road needed to cross three headwaters of the Warwickshire river Avon in succession: the main Avon at Dow Bridge SP543778, a small and apparently unnamed stream at Caves Inn; and the river Swift at Bransford Bridge SP518822.
